The UK’s first student-only festival, Beachbreak Live, returns to the Cornish coast this June, and the organisers need YOUR help with stewarding. With a stellar line-up
including the likes of The Cribs, The Wombats, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Mr
Scruff, Johnny Flynn, The Metros and The Scratch Perverts, we think you’d be
mad to miss out on the opportunity of free entry to the festival.
Beachbreak takes place from 9 – 12 June at Carruan Farm,
Polzeath, and although stewarding does (obviously) involve some work, you’ll
still be able to make the most of your time. Once you have completed a training
session at the festival site, you’ll be expected to work three shifts of
between 17 and 22 hours (in total) from 8 – 13 June. What you do when you're not working is totally up to you.
The work varies from helping out in the car park, to
stewarding in the venues or keeping an eye on people’s tents in the camping
fields. You’ll be fully insured, and will work alongside a group of experienced
co-ordinators who have 10 years experience in running volunteers stewards teams
at festivals like Glade and Glastonbury, and they’ll ensure everything
runs smoothly (as well as making sure you’re well looked after and having a great
time).
To book a place, check out www.beachbreaklive.com/stewards ASAP (it’s not long until the festival starts now). You’ll need to pay £87 as a deposit (covering ticket price plus park & ride), and this will be refunded by the end of June in the form of a cheque.
