What’s that you say? Our Stranger Gift Guide didn’t cater for all your present-buying needs? You’re still fretting over your festive shopping? Well, thank Santa for Craftpoint. Cornwall’s leading pop up shop is hitting Falmouth next week with a veritable glut of gifts just itching to be bought. Setting up stall in The Poly from the 1 December right the way through until Christmas Eve, the mobile design and craft shop is on a mission to showcase how hard graft from Cornwall’s eclectic mix of creative talent results in ideal Christmas gifts. From cushions and jewellery to tableware, furniture, prints, bags and accessories, if you’re looking for something extra special you’ll find it in the shop.
”I want to provide an alternative outlet for selling craft to encourage more people to buy handmade products,” explains Craftpoint founder Carole Lomas. "It’s about offering customers a relaxed and friendly shopping experience at the same time as making local craft much more accessible.” Featuring the work of over 30 designer makers including University College Falmouth graduate Charlotte Tange’s stylish Falmouth Harbour tableware collection and Remon Jephcott's delightful ceramics with a nostalgic twist, it’s well worth popping down to the pop up shop, pronto. And that’s the last bit of advice you’re getting. Away with you...
