Blending contemporary design with historic architecture, the Cornwall Design Fair is taking to Trereife Park on the 21 and 22nd August.

Supported by Hidden Art and showcasing the diversity and talent of the UK's design scene, the 18th century manor house and gardens will be turned into a giant showroom for the weekend so guests can explore, admire and buy from a wide range of furniture, interior products, textiles, ceramics, glasswork, lighting and jewellery.

Established and up and coming designer-makers will be on hand so guests can find out more about the work and there will also be a selection of site specific pieces developed by Hidden Art members on display, all of which respond to and draw on the historic rooms of the manor house for inspiration.

And it’s not just about design. In the gallery, the 'Five from St Ives' exhibition will be profiling some of Cornwall's most celebrated artists, plus throughout the weekend Penzance Literary Festival will be running a series of events and workshops for anyone with a penchant for words.

So if you fancy boosting your culture intake this August, it looks like Trereife is the place to be.
