Are you an artist? Illustrator? Designer-maker? A mere 25 quid could give you the chance to exhibit your work in Falmouth’s Events Square, showing off your talents to the huge influx of international revellers at the forthcoming Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week sailing event (7 – 15 August). From Saturday 7 August, people will be flocking to the waters, harbour and on-shore delights of Falmouth not only for the boat racing, but also the lively entertainment schedule that comes hand-in-hand with Falmouth Week – including the Falmouth Marching Carnival, Jelly Jazz sessions, Miracle Theatre’s open-air performance of Romeo and Juliet at Pendennis Castle and live acoustic sessions at The Moor. (See www.falmouthweek.co.uk for the full schedule). Helen Mulhem, director of Eventy Marketing, decided to utilise the potential of the week’s visitors to allow local artists to showcase and sell their work in a giant marquee in the very heart of Falmouth Week at their event, exposedART. “There are amazing artists here who may not get opportunities to showcase their work,” she says. “We wanted to take advantage of the boosted footfall to benefit them.” The exposedART exhibition will feature from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday 11 August and entry to the marquee at Events Square (and its bar!) is free to the public. Pitches start at just £25, so if you’re an interested artist then contact Eventy on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it / 01326 376273.
