After recently winning the Media and Innovation Award for best graphics, The Parabola Project is gathering pace, inviting writers and imagemakers to submit work for issue II of the publication, due out in the winter. The Parabola Project is a celebration of creativity from Cornwall and beyond, a small book which marries style and substance to profile local writers and imagemakers - taking their work to a whole new audience. Continuing on the upwards curve which sits at the heart of the project, the theme for this year's publication is Quickening and writers are invited to submit any work that somehow alludes to this notion.
Poetry, prose, scripts, novel extracts and travel journals - anything goes. The only rules are that it shouldn't be more than 2000 words long and must be an original piece of work by the writer themselves. To submit, writers must log on to the Telltales website and use the form on the right of the screen to send their work to the Parabola Project reading team. The team will then review all the submissions and form a content list, notifying successful writers at the end of the summer. If imagemakers are interested in being featured, they should send samples of their work to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
