Ethically-founded surf shop, Loose-Fit, invite you to join them for their
surf-inspired art preview 'Stoked' in Bristol next Friday 18 July. The entire
store will be converted into gallery space and there will be plenty to
eat and drink while you feast your eyes and chat with the artists. Maybe you'll even find something new for that blank space on your wall.
The collective show begins at 6pm with a plethora of photographs, paintings and prints from James Bowden, Tim Brunt, Serge Rolland, and Ben Merrington.
James Bowden shoots regularly for Carve and 360 magazine, as well as cover shots and double-page spreads in surf mags from Oz. His dreamy photographs reflect those epic summer days by the sea.
Tim Brunt is Bristol-based and works with changing light, drawing inspiration from our coasts and mountains. In contrast, graphic designer Ben Merrington produces psychedelic surf art.
Following Loose-Fit's eco-friendly ethos, Serge Rolland should impress with his worldwide photographic imagery on canvas in handmade frames made from wood originating from sustainable forests.
Loose-Fit is the world's first and only carbon neutral surf shop, pioneering the Carbon Zero Surf Campaign. They are also proud members of the 1% for The Planet alliance and are ambassadors for Global Angels.
So come down and get 'Stoked'. And if you really can't make it, don't worry because the
opportunity to view and purchase many of the pieces continues in the store until 1 August (during normal opening hours). (Joanna Stevens)
