Stranger is evolving.

Hello. Exciting stuff has been happening here at Stranger Collective which means we need to make a glut of changes to our website.

Things are starting to take shape, but until we're ready to share what it's all about please feel free to look around the existing website. You'll be able to find out more about where the Collective has come from, what we've been up to over the last eight years and where we're headed.

See you on the other side...

MASH SF

"It's not about stopping - it's about going as fast as you can. Commitment to every line, corner, and hill is what defines the style of these San Francisco riders. Come roll with us."

For the past two years photographers Mike Martin and Gabe Morford have been filming a bunch of fixed-gear bike riders in San Francisco, capturing their exploits as they hit the cities many streets and hills on their brake-less track bikes.

The outcome of Mike and Gabe's hours and hours of footage is Mash, a documentary that captures both the riders and the city in all their glory. After much anticipation the film is finally finished and will have its world premiere in SF on 9 June at the Victoria Theatre. Those of us not lucky enough to be in SF will have to wait for the DVD release sometime in July.

For more details on the premiere and the Mash project in general click here. Look for a full Mash feature in Stranger 15 out 18 June.
