For most of us, climbing nearly 300 mountains is too much to imagine, so the idea of doing it naked? Shuddering. But for one naturist couple, braving the elements and scaling 284 peaks in the nuddy is a driving ambition. The couple, known only as Stuart and Karla, are attempting to climb the Munros mountains in Scotland, which are more than 3000ft high.

Karla, a keen photographer, explained "I like my body. I like being fit and healthy...what's more, a nude body and beautiful scenery seem to complement each other better than you would at first imagine. Perhaps because that's how we started out."

"Walking naked heightens the senses and makes a trip to the mountains a whole new experience,” Stuart concludes, “how ‘back to nature’ can you truly be in gore-tex and a fleece?"
