A festive Jazz Ball to put Christmas in full swing; set in a grand marquee stylishly dressed with atmospheric lighting and tasteful decor; starring the world-class band The Jazz Cannons with local support from Funny Feathers and DJ Get Waxy, with more guest DJs to be announced... sounds good to us! Starring THE JAZZ CANNONS, a magnificent, world-class classic swing, jazz and soul band led by the magnetic vocalist and saxophonist Jimmy Cannon. The Jazz Cannons is made up of some of the UK's finest young musicians; graduates from some of this country's best music schools who've worked with the likes of Robbie Williams, The Commitments and Incognito, performed in the smash hit 'The Rat Pack - Live From Las Vegas' as well as venues as diverse as Wembley Arena, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and A-list movie premieres.

Local support comes from THE FUNNY FEATHERS, a group of highly experienced jazz musicians who have got together over the past nine years to play classic jazz, ballads and blues inspired by the great players and singers from the 1930s. This group of like-minded friends has grown over the years to include some of Cornwall's most talented jazz musicians and can always be relied on to provide top class jazz entertainment.

Local favourite and Stranger friend DJ GET WAXY will be playing his much-loved soul and jazz sounds in a unique  set specially composed for the event. Some very SPECIAL GUEST DJ'S are also going to be announced nearer the time, so keep your eyes peeled.

If you're after a good night's dancing and festive atmosphere that's a little different, then don't miss this chance to experience both the overwhelming big band jazz sound from the 1930s and 1940s as well as the modern, diverse rhythms of some great DJs.
 
By attending this prestigious event you'll be helping to raise money for Kiota, an independent charity working for the rights, health and development of women and children in Tanzania. There'll also be a raffle on the night and donations with all proceeds going to Kiota.
