We keep hearing about how much it’s snowing in the Alps already and the lifts have all opened early, so thought it was about time we arranged our next snow trip. Got to have something to look forward to, haven’t we?

Now in its fourth year, Stranger in the Snow is open to anyone who fancies a trip to the mountains with a friendly group of like-minded people. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or world champion; whether you ski or snowboard – everyone is welcome as long as you're nice! Have a look at the photos from last year's Stranger Snow trip to get an idea of what it's like...

Here are the details for 2008: 

Place: Tignes Les Boisses (next resort up the mountain from Tignes Les Brevieres, where we went in 2006), Chalet Le Dome
Dates: 8-15 March 2008
Details: Includes transfers, 6 day ski pass, breakfast, evening meal (with wine) and accommodation (look at the rooms on the web link above). The chalet is a lot more comfortable/ spacious than previous years, and has a bar, Sky TV, wireless internet access and a PC with internet access / headphones & web cam, plus free tea and coffee making facilities. According to several independent sources, the food is also something else. ***PLEASE NOTE: you will need to arrange your own transport to Geneva or Bourg St Maurice, where we will have transfers ready at set times (see below). There are some pretty cheap flights/ train deals around, so it’s best to get on the case with this as soon as possible.
Price: £460 + £10 banking/ admin charge

If you want to come, you will need to put down a £100 deposit to secure your place. You can do this by calling Helen on 01326 376500 and paying by credit/ debit card. Last year's trip (60 people!) sold out in two weeks, and this year's chalet has less places, so be sure to get in touch as soon as possible!
