News has just broken that the UK's very finest bands, without whom we
would, without doubt, be utterly lost - Katherine Jenkins, Boyzone,
Diversity
and James Morrison - have been insured for £1 million lest that
dastardly piggy flu plague interfere with their performances at The Big
Gig Weekend at the Bath and West Showground in Shepton
Mallet at the end of September.
The Somerset property tycoon and promoter Kevin Newton has taken out
the unique insurance as a precaution against swine flu affecting one of
the three nights of the concert series. He didn't want to take out any
risks. Katherine Jenkins, Boyzone
and Diversity are all covered by the insurance against contracting swine flu. "We are happy to
provide this cover," said InsureandGo Founder Perry Wilson, who provided the insurance. "We want the event to go off with a bang and not an
oink."
