TELLTALES HUNTS FOR FRESH BLOOD PDF Print
News

After the success of Telltales at Port Eliot Festival in July and a well earned break in August, Telltales is back this September with a bumper line up planned. But there’s still room for more.

Themed Snapshot, Telltales volume XX is taking place on Tuesday the 28 September in Falmouth Townhouse and already has established writers and Telltales’ regulars Jane Pugh and Mac Dunlop on the bill.

However, the popular Cornwall reading night is thirsty for fresh blood to kick off the autumn season so is looking for submissions from new writers to create a diverse lineup for its dedicated audience.

Writers are invited to submit poetry, prose, short stories, novel extracts or scripts which play with the Snapshot theme in any way at all; as an inspiration point, a key word or even just a loose reference. Work needs to be uploaded to the Telltales website, www.wordslikepictures.com/telltales by the 17 September and the successful writers will be notified by the 22 September, giving them plenty of time to practice before the reading night itself.

And if you don’t fancy submitting but would like to hear what Cornwall’s talented writing scene has to say for itself, head down to the Falmouth Townhouse on the 28 September from 7pm for a delicious slice of freshly baked word pie, Telltales style.

Doors open at 7pm and reading kick off from 7.30pm sharp.
