Ice, wind, rain, snow: you might be trying your hardest to avoid the ravaging elements this month, but there’s one set of elements you should definitely expose yourself to. Telltales is back on the 25th January with its regular reading night. And the theme for this month’s event – you guessed it: Elements. With readings from some of Cornwall’s established writers, alongside the region’s up and coming talent, the programme is broad and exciting, with experimental prose, short stories, award winning poetry and novel extracts to enjoy. Things kick off from 7pm at The Rum Bar above Nancy’s in Falmouth; the perfect place to baton down the hatches next to a roaring wood burner, drink in hand for a night of talk and tales. Readings start at 7.30pm sharp and the whole evening is free. If you like writing, listening or reading head on down, you’ll be in your element...
