Stranger is evolving.

Hello. Exciting stuff has been happening here at Stranger Collective which means we need to make a glut of changes to our website.

Things are starting to take shape, but until we're ready to share what it's all about please feel free to look around the existing website. You'll be able to find out more about where the Collective has come from, what we've been up to over the last eight years and where we're headed.

See you on the other side...

That's it then. It's all over. The Lib Dems are disappointed, the Conservatives are seeking to do a deal and Labour seem more than just a little lost. Although initial cyncism met the exit polls of the 2010 general election when they were revealed last night, they turned out to be pretty accurate and the result is that we've landed ourselves with a hung parliament for the first time in 1974.

So what to do? Well Nick Clegg's pre-results belief that the party with the most votes should have the right to try and form a government seems to be the one thing that everyone agrees on. Wiith that in mind, earlier today Cameron publicly reached out to the Liberal Democrats to make it happen.

Speaking this afternoon, Cameron said: "Britain needs strong, stable and decisive government and it is in the national interest that we get that on a secure basis." He went on to say the Conservatives would now: "begin talks with other parties to see how that can be done."

The most notable part of his speech came when he stated: "I want to make a big, open and comprehensive offer to the Liberal Democrats. I want us to work together in tackling our countries big and urgent problems, the debt crisis, our deep social problems and our broken political system."

The two leaders are due to hold talks tomorrow to see what agreement can be reached. It's certainly not going to be a straight forward case of kiss and makeup as there is significant distance between some of the parties' policies and criticisms were clearly made of each other during the televised debates, but it'll be interesting to see what compromises are actually made and how things develop.

So, until the talks are over, it looks like our Government has been hung. Which, considering the expenses scandals is probably no bad thing...
