Yeah, yeah, we know what you’re thinking – ‘the world don’t need no new Pelé book’ – but this one is slightly different, so hear us out. For starters, every single copy is signed by the man himself. Secondly, it has its own custom designed display unit as a nifty accessory. And lastly, it costs £1,600 (although that’s just for the most basic package). Purchase the ‘Carnival’ edition, which is signed by all surviving members of Brazil’s 1970 World Cup winning team, and it will set you back a rousing £4,000. All in all, it’s the perfect post-Christmas pick-me-up gift, and is bound to leave countless people contemplating the same, nagging question (‘Should I get a new car…or that Pelé book?’). Twice the size of your average dictionary, ‘Pelé’ is on sale exclusively here. Alternatively, you could always try and get your library to order you in a copy. You never know. |

If you’ve got any New Year cash lying around then why not indulge yourself in
some retail therapy? You could consider buying a new book about Brazilian genius Edson Arantes do Nascimento, AKA Pelé.
