Rob Schneider of Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo fame, plays a sleazy timeshare salesman, who after making his millions, gets arrested for fraud. He's sentenced to three years in prison, but has his lawyer blag a six-month deferment, so that he can prepare for his jail-time debut. In true Karate Kid-style, when he meets 'The Master', he is put through his paces. 

Congrats to Rob who gets buff and tough; plain to see later during a cheeky shot of his bum in the shower.  Looking good in celebration of his directorial debut!

Now trained in martial arts, when he enters the prison, he beats up the biggest guy, rejects induction into the Nazi party, defends himself against a gang - and becomes the leader of the pack.

Just when you think he can't possibly do anymore good turns within the 'nick', (he's already banned rape, got a gay couple together, and stopped all the interracial fighting), Schneider miraculously gets hardened criminals to learn salsa!

This film is very Californian and a prime example of the classic Hollywood formula. Full of 1980s-like comfortable, corny cliché, and nothing but silly, tongue-in-cheek dialogue, Big Stan is definitely recommended for some laughs and an easy view with microwave buttered popcorn.
