AimThis is a good album. It has engaging melodies, excellent production values, and no fillers. Why, then, is it so unexciting?

Andy Turner’s fourth studio album marks the launch of ATIC, his own record label. It therefore makes sense that he would want a good solid release, nothing that will alienate any listeners or perturb any newcomers. And Flight 602 is just that, solid. Not exciting, groundbreaking or innovative, just solid steady hip-hop beats. Perhaps the excitement will come with the live show, where the decks have been swapped for live musicians, but fans of Aim will recognise this does not live up to the almost insurmountable legacy left by his seminal debut album, Cold Water Music.
