Stranger is evolving.

Hello. Exciting stuff has been happening here at Stranger Collective which means we need to make a glut of changes to our website.

Things are starting to take shape, but until we're ready to share what it's all about please feel free to look around the existing website. You'll be able to find out more about where the Collective has come from, what we've been up to over the last eight years and where we're headed.

See you on the other side...

Reviews - Music

Belleruche - The ExpressBelleruche get you straight into a good vibe with their new album, The Express out on Tru Thoughts on 13 October 2008.  It's great that old school blues is being reworked in new music. This is the best start to an album we've heard in years.

Kathrin de Boer, Ricky Fabulous and DJ Modest's first three tracks remind us of old guys out west, gold-digging and building train-tracks in the hot desert sun, whooping, hollering and having a gay old time.  By track four and five however, the blues set in for a while and although pleasant enough the whole thing slows down.  These songs are obviously not our favourites but still worthy (see below for Stranger must-haves).

Anything You Want (not that) was released as a single earlier this year and has had extensive radio play on UK radio stations.  It's also popular with DJ's around the world, holding it's own on the dancefloor with it's combination of a tough-edged beat and smoky vocals.  The whole album really takes you on a journey from beginning to end and will definitely become a favourite on our i-pods for travelling.
