Stranger is evolving.

Hello. Exciting stuff has been happening here at Stranger Collective which means we need to make a glut of changes to our website.

Things are starting to take shape, but until we're ready to share what it's all about please feel free to look around the existing website. You'll be able to find out more about where the Collective has come from, what we've been up to over the last eight years and where we're headed.

See you on the other side...

Reviews - Music

Broadway Project - One Divided SoulFunky enough to make anyone mince along the pavement.  The best way to describe this album, with its orchestral clips, is like paper that rustles as the music unwraps in front of you.

Chunky beats and an electronic organ are used for a little acid jazz, while double-base jazz rhythms are pepped up with drum and base.  There are all sorts of strange sounds and ringing mobiles, but no lyrics.

Tension is created by the music's dynamic rhythms, which is eased by the smooth tone of a cello.  In 'The Wobble', 'The Sugar Plum Fairy' is mixed in and has a sort of melting-down quality.

One Divided Soul is an album with hard edges and soft ripples.  There are many urban and industrial noises in the background, making your mind travel over city landscapes,  trendy and tough.  This must be what Dan Berridge, the man behind Broadway Project, means when he says his music is cinematic.  These are the sort of tracks that get used in dramas to 'set the scene'.  (Georgina Brown)
