Contriva - 'Seperate Chambers'Berlin supergroup Contriva collect together the waifs and strays from such notables as Mina, The Notwist and Masha Qrella.

Their second album offers a peculiar mash-up of prairie rock and an altogether more continental cool, with vocal tracks 'Before' and 'I Can Wait' not dissimilar to having chanced across a Wyoming gas station staffed by Jeanne Moreau and Jean Seberg. La nouvelle vague? (Kingsley Marshall)
