Released 2 June, this amazing first album Youth Novels by 22-year-old Lykke Li Zachrisson, is a nouveau indie-pop treasure. She's got a voice that sounds like the taste of sherbet. It’s not surprising that she’s the talk of the global music industry.

Lykke’s music has that sense of soul that we seem to be seeking from music these days, especially from our female vocalists. Lykke’s songs are filled with electro and falling-in-love lyrics. Stereogum have even named her artist to watch.

Youth Novels was produced by fellow swede,  Björn Yttling and Lasse Mårtén on Lykke's own label, LL Recordings. It has so many catchy songs, you won’t be able to get this girl out of your head. (Joanna Stevens)
