As you may have guessed from the album title, The Bees have a touch of the surreal about them.

Reminiscent of The Coral reminiscing Beefheart, they have a retro charm that reaches beyond their catchy melodies. With a sprinkle of Cockney music hall, a dash of Ravi Shanker and a healthy dose of psychedelia, Octopus is a triumphant third album for the Islanders. (Lotte Mahon)
