For My Monster is my favourite album this year and one I can't stop listening to.  A local indie outfit, but definitely grown up and professional, with a polished and clean rock sound. 

A good voice and clean guitar techniques make you feel this is a credible band.  Some chords appear complicated and impossible to mimic.  Every member in the group can pick up the guitar and their music is rich and fresh. 

Some tracks, such as 'Cancun' and 'Faking It', have a beachy feel, while 'For My Monster' is a soft acoustic piece that builds into a heavy rock show.  A couple of songs, 'Shouting Louder' and 'Beautiful', are spiced up here and there with kletzma rhythms and rifts, making them catchy.
