Edinburgh-based Will Cookson is a mysterious figure, about whom little seems to be known! so far, at least. Comparisons with Nick Drake surround Songs for a Sunday, which Cookson's shy, almost unobtrusive vocal delivery certainly warrants. His intricate guitar work and delicate instrumentation call to mind Bert Jansch, whilst the detailed little observations are in the tradition of Vashti Bunyan. Songs for a Sunday is like a soothing drop of oil on the troubled waters of your soul. (Angeline Morrison ) Links:

Songs For A Sunday (Tinpot Records, 2008) is a near-flawless pastoral jewel of an
album, whose lyrics document delight in the small things that make up a
day - watching the stars, lighting a fire, waiting for a kettle to boil.
