This is folktronica, Jim, but not as we know it. Lilting plucked guitars and brush drums it may have, but the third album from Tunng is a bit more pop than your average. 

The Tacticians have no money.  They tell us this on their Myspace, their CD cover, and in their lyrics. It’s a safe bet they’ll still be broke after this album.

One can't help but think that Leisure Records have been rather unfortunate to release Barbecue Beats in this sorry excuse for summer.

How do you follow up the massive, unexpected success of your last album? Well, if you're Richard Hawley, you just carry on like nothing has happened.
