If you haven’t been to an o-region screening yet, then don’t miss out on the chance to catch two Cornish events in July and August showcasing the best new work by local and international directors.
o-region is Cornwall’s only regular screening event and their annual programme includes Futureshorts, bringing Cornish audiences a monthly programme of world-class shorts from the innovative Futureshorts label.
They've also reinvented their very own screening project, Roughcut, which is now presented every quarter. Cornwall's original short film showcase is still dedicated to showing the work of new and emerging directors, but now things are livened up with top local bands, music, DJs and secret events.
On 22 July, the o-region Screening Network is proud to present Antony Butler's brand new surf film Substance, as well as world-class short films from Futureshorts. The event is from 8-11pm at Carruan Farm (in the Footsbarn tent), Polzeath, near Padstow.
Tickets £5/£3
Then from 7:30pm on 14 August, o-region presents the Roughcut Summer Surf Partyat The Sandsifter, Godrevy Beach, Hayle. The extravaganza features the top new Cornish shorts alongside hand-picked bands, music, DJs and secret events, all tied up in an extra special cinematic package.
